Gisteren waren we zo druk met anderen dingen, dat het niet meer lukte om ook nog naar de film te gaan. Gelukkig paste het nog wel in het programma van vandaag. We moesten strootjes trekken om te bepalen wie vanmiddag met de jongens mee zou gaan naar Shrek 3. R heeft mij laten winnen (een van de redenen waarom ik zoveel van hem hou =)). Hij en M bleven thuis en ik mocht naar Shrek, Fiona en hun vrienden.
Het was een leuke film. De jongens lagen helemaal dubbel. Ik vind nog steeds de eerste Shrek het beste en denk ook dat ik de tweede beter vind dan deze derde. Maar toch, het was een geinige film. Alleen de muziek vond ik wat tegenvallen. Bij lange na niet zo pakkend als die van zijn voorgangers. Maarja het is ook niet makkelijk om het nummer Accidentally in Love van Counting Crows (Shrek 2) en de hilarische finale van Shrek 1 te overtreffen.
Het maken van opvolgers is vast niet eenvoudig, maar dit was een goede. Er gaan geruchten dat er nog een vierde gaat komen. Ik ben heel nieuwsgierig wat er dan met onze vertederende kannibaal gaat gebeuren. In een jaar of twee zullen we het weten…
With all the things we had going on yesterday, we couldn’t add a trip to the movies. But luckily we could fit it in today’s schedule. A game of rock, paper, scissors had to decide who could accompany the boys to Shrek the Third. R let me win (one of the reasons I love him so much =)), so he and M stayed home and I got to see Shrek , Fiona and their friends.
It was a fun movie. The boys sure had a blast. I do think the first Shrek movie was the best, and probably prefer the second over this third. But still it was very entertaining. Just thought the music wasn’t as catchy as its predecessors. But hey it’s hard to beat Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows (Shrek 2) or that hilarious finale of Shrek 1.
Making sequels must be hard, but this was a good one. Rumors are saying there’s going to be a fourth. I’m curious what’s happening to our endearing ogre in that episode. We’ll find out in a year or two…

Jullie hebben weer gennoten en er schijnen zelfs nr. 4 en 5 te komen. Of dat een goed idee is weet ik niet. Recensies geven ook aan dat de eerdere beter waren. Van de week nr. 1 op TV gezien. Mamma.
Speaking of sequels..the kids saw Pirates today...all 3 hours of it! Of course, they loved it, me too...I went shopping! (WM got a lot of money today) Z ranked it equal to the first 2. I am thinking it would be better to see it in NL, at least you have super comfy seats AND a PAUZE! :)
When I got my tickets, somebody else bought his for Pirates. It was more expensive because of its length [very Dutch :(]. And probablay had two intermissions =) I did miss the cupholders in the seats btw.
