Trick or Treat

Steeds meer Amerikaanse gewoonten en gebruiken waaien over naar Nederland. Zo ook Halloween. De wijkvereniging organiseerde dit jaar voor het eerst een Halloween feestje.

Aangezien het hier dus niet gebruikelijk is om op 31 oktober ’s avonds op alle deuren te kloppen, was er een route uitgezet. Op een lijst stonden de adressen van mensen die hadden laten weten klaar te zijn voor een stoot snoep hongerige kinders.

Onze buurman was het eerste 'slachtoffer'….

More and more American habits and customs are finding their way to the Netherlands. Like Halloween for instance.

Our subdivision organized its first Halloween party. And since it’s not really established here to go knock on doors on October 31st, they planned a route with addresses of people who were participating. Claiming to be ready for a bunch of candy hungry youngsters.

Our own dear neighbor was the first ‘victim’….
