100 % proof I'm a total dork

Het bewijs is weer geleverd.

Ik - ben - een - absolute - sukkel.

Ik hou namelijk helemaal niet van tuinieren. Toch ga ik graag naar een tuincentrum.
Ik geniet van de plantjes, de bloemetjes en de jonge ontspruitende boompjes. Maar laat ze allemaal staan. Dat is R's afdeling.

De kinderen genieten van de bonte verzameling huisdieren. Konijnen, cavia’s, hamsters, vissen. Allemaal even lief. En volgens het drietal waarschijnlijk veel gelukkiger bij ons thuis dan in de bakken van het tuincentrum.
Ik wimpel hun smeekbedes af met een standaard “Jongens jullie mogen ze aaien, maar ze blijven wel hier!” en kom steeds dichter bij mijn favoriete afdeling. Accessoires voor in huis.

Hier ga ik echt helemaal los. Ze hebben zulke leuke dingen. Vrolijke kaarsen, chique etagières, lekkere kussens, geinige fotolijstjes. Ik heb geen flauw idee wat het allemaal met een tuin te maken heeft, maar deze branchevervaging lokt mij iedere keer weer richting tuincentrum.

Mijn oog valt dit keer op cappuccino koppen.

Ik - drink - helemaal - geen - koffie.

Ze zijn zo vrolijk. Dus overtuig ik mezelf dat er heus niet perse cappuccino uit gedronken hoeft te worden.

Thee kan toch ook. Of wat denk je van soep voor de kinderen… Opties genoeg :p

I - am - a - total - dork.

The fact is I don’t like gardening at all, however I love roaming these huge garden centers.
I enjoy the plants, the flowers, the sprouting trees. But I let them all be. That’s R’s department.

The kids love seeing the big variety of pets. Bunnies, guinea pigs, gerbils, fish. All very adorable. And in their opinion much better off at our place than in these cages of the garden centre. I wave away their pleas with a standard “You can pet them, but they will stay here!” and get closer and closer to my all time favorite department. Home accessories.

Here I just loose myself. So much cute stuff. Nice smelling candles, elegant cake stands, soft cushions, trendy photo frames. I don’t have a clue what all these things have to do with gardening, but this diversification lures me every time inside.

This time these fun cappuccino cups catch my eye.

I - do - not - drink - nor - like - coffee.

They’re so cheerful. So I convince myself you can drink other things than cappuccino from these cups.

Tea for instance….or what about soup for the kids….Plenty of options :p
