Sjoelen

Vandaag is de sjoelcompetitie weer van start gegaan.

Eens in de zo veel tijd wordt het stof weer van de sjoelbak geblazen en gaat het er fanatiek aan toe.

Grappig is dat voor het eerst ook Minke mee doet. En absoluut niet onverdienstelijk. Na drie beurten heeft ze (zonder vals te spelen) toch 34 punten bij elkaar gegooid. Je moet haar broers eens zien juichen, ze is er helemaal beduusd van.

Terwijl we bezig zijn, bedenken we ineens dat we dit oud-Hollandse spel ook zeker aan Flat Stanley moeten laten zien…Hij snapt er niet veel van, maar het enthousiasme van de kinderen is erg aanstekelijk ;-)

Today the ‘sjoel’ competition commenced once again.

After a time of mainly collecting dust, we’ll get the ‘sjoelbak’ from its corner and we play the game vigorously.

This time also Minke participates in our little family competition. And mind you, she’s a tough opponent. After her first three turns, she collects (without cheating) 34 points. You should see her brothers jumping and cheering. She is a little overwhelmed.

While we are enjoying our fun game, we think of Flat Stanley. As it’s a typical Dutch game he should see this too… He doesn't really get it, but the kids’ enthusiasm is very contagious ;-)
