T loopt helemaal enthousiast door de winkel heen te rennen. Het ene pak vindt hij nog mooier dan het andere. Het is moeilijk kiezen.
J loopt er een stuk rustiger achteraan. Ik hoef eigenlijk niks mam!
M ziet een pak van Mega Mindy [de Vlaamse super heldin] hangen en is op slag verliefd. Ze heeft thuis al de bijnaam Mega Minke gekregen, toepasselijker kan het bijna niet ;-)
Voor T wordt het lastiger. Alles wat hij uitkiest is of veel te groot [lees volwassen maten] of maatje peuterspeelzaal. Best sneu, maar uiteindelijk is hij ook blij met zijn tiende keuze, een piratenpak.
J loopt nog eens een extra rondje door de zaak. Ik zie hem twijfelen. Dan komt hij triomfantelijk met een rasta petje aanlopen, waar de ‘dreadlocks’ aan vast zitten. Hij vindt het superstoer en dat wil hij wel op volgende week. Ik moet om hem lachen, maar vind het prima.
Hebben we toch voor alle drie een nieuwe uitdossing.
While our 9 year old still frequently wears his much too small batman and ninja suits at home. He really thinks he’s too grown up to wear these to school. This afternoon we went to the store for some new clothes for Carnival.
T ecstatically runs through the store. Every suit he sees he likes better than the first. It’s hard to choose.
J follows him in a calm pace. Mom, I don’t really need anything!
M spots a Mega Mindy suit [a popular Flemish girl super hero] and is head over heels in love. She already got her nickname Mega Minke, so we think this suit is very appropriate ;-)
For T it’s challenging. Either he picks something much too big [read adult sizes] or size toddler. Poor thing, but finally he finds something that will fit, a pirate suit.
J makes one last trip through the store. He’s in doubt. But then he finds this rasta cap with dreadlocks. Super cool, he thinks and this he will wear to school next week. I have to smile, but hey it’s fine with me.
So three new looks after all.
