Adembenemend mooi is het.
Geen dik pak sneeuw [zou ook leuk zijn], maar een uiterst geraffineerd laagje rijp kleurt de wereld om ons heen wit. Meestal verdwijnt het gedurende de dag. Maar vandaag blijft de temperatuur rond de -3 hangen. Koud genoeg om het witte laagje intact te laten.
Terwijl dochter en hond allebei op hun eigen manier genieten van het natuurschoon, probeer ik wat van dit moois vast te leggen. Zachtjes neuriënd: “Gone away is the bluebird, here to stay is a new bird. He sings a love song, when we go along. Walking in a winter wonderland.”

Breathtaking it is.
No thick layer of snow [that would be nice too], but a subtle haze of frost is painting our world white. Usually it vanishes during the day. But today temperatures stay around 26 degrees. Cold enough to leave it like it is.
While dear daughter and dog are enjoying this gift of nature both in their own way, I try to record some of this beauty. Humming to myself: “Gone away is the bluebird, here to stay is a new bird. He sings a love song, when we go along. Walking in a winter wonderland.”

Ooohhh, wat is dit jaloermakend genieten!!! Toen ik vanmorgen vroeg naar mijn werk fietste zag ik zovvel moois in het donker maarrrr helaas tijdens 'daylight' zat ik binnen. Na vijven was het weer naar huis fietsen en probeerde ik toch te genieten van al het wintersmooi wat jij zo mooi hebt weten vast te leggen!....
